Lester Ray Hulsey Obituary
LESTER RAY HULSEY Born November 1, 1920 in Estelline, Texas. Died July 7, 2016 in Boise, Idaho. Lester Ray Hulsey grew up in the Texas panhandle with 12 brothers and sisters. In the 1930's he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and worked at several CC Camps. In 1939 he enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego at the start of World War II. Fortunately, all family members including brothers who served in the Army and Marine Corps survived the war. After military service, Ray relocated to LA, California, along with his mother, father, and several sisters and brothers. He worked as a plumber most of his life, employed by the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, Torrance School District and major LA County Hospitals. Ray enjoyed family life, especially coordinating and attending large gatherings with his brothers and sisters along with their spouses and children. He was married three times during his life, and had three sons, Michael, David and Leslie. He loved everyone of his family members, his Momma, Daddy, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, Grandkids, Nieces and Nephews. He was part of the Hemet Elks family for over 30 years and volunteered as a bugler for veterans' funerals through the American Legion. Ray was a real character, full of energy and a great personality. He was loved and will be missed. Services will be held at Miller Jones Funeral Home in Hemet, CA on Monday July 25, 2016 at 10:00AM.
