Linda Angela Albano Obituary
LINDA ANGELA ALBANO Age 74, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Linda was born on Sunday, November 15, 1942 in Osceola, AR, to Monroe Jefferson Owens and Louise Bernadine Owens. She was an only child and was preceded in death by her parents. Linda was a free spirit in her childhood and enjoyed spending time with her cousins in Chicago. She later moved to Los Angeles and in 1963 she married Joe Albano, her husband of nineteen years. In 1976 they lived in Riverside, California, where Linda started working at her family business, The Colonial Country Club, in Hemet, California. They later moved to Hemet in 1978, where Linda lived for 35 years before moving to Stephenville, Texas, in 2013. Together they created what would be Linda's greatest accomplishment in life, her children, Linda, Anni, Joey, and Tony. Linda was an avid reader and sometimes read the same book twice. Some of her favorite authors were Dean Koontz and Stuart Woods She also loved shopping, not really for anything in particular, just whatever she deemed as "cute". Hundreds of plaques and trinkets decorated her home. She loved music, especially 50s doo-wop, and instilled a love of music in every one of her children. Linda was also a very giving person and donated to countless charities on a regular basis. She was an extremely loyal friend who would help out anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. Even in death, Linda wanted to make a difference. Her last wishes were to have her body donated to science to help contribute to the advancement of treatments for conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, cancer, diabetes, ALS, arthritis and degenerative joint disease, hip replacement surgery, infectious disease, heart disease and much more. Linda is survived by her four children and two sons-in-law; daughter, Linda and husband, Dennis Schouten, of Stephenville, Texas; daughter, Anni of Stephenville, Texas; son, Joseph of San Diego, California; and son Anthony and husband Dana Francis-Albano of Palm Desert, California; nine grand-children; Sheila (Bob) Taylor, of Stephenville, Texas; Dennis Schouten, of Stephenville, Texas; Pete (Lindsay) Schouten, of Stephenville, Texas; Aubrye (Grant) McClendon, of El Paso, Texas; Chasen (Hilary) Francis, of Provo, Utah; Derek Francis, of Orem, Utah; Ryley Francis, of Orem, Utah; Jake Francis, of Palm Desert, California; and Alysse Francis, of Palm Desert, California; eight great-grand-children; Gabriella and Chloe Taylor, Dexter Schouten, Kayson, Brayden and one not-yet-named Schouten, and Claire and James McClendon; uncles and aunts; Pat (Kathy) Meeks, of Rancho Murieta, California; Jimmie (Marlene) Meeks, of Welton, Arizona; and Sue (Terry) Fisk, of New Orleans, Louisiana; and numerous cousins scattered around the country. Linda loved her family and she loved her life. She had her quirks and mannerisms that makes losing her that much more difficult. Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but she will live on in our hearts forever.
