Linda Lee (Sharp) McComas Obituary
LINDA LEE (SHARP) MCCOMAS 1944-2012 Linda, 68, entered eternal life on December 24, 2012 at home surrounded by loved ones. Linda was born and raised in Hemet by her parents Ray and Jerry Sharp. Linda met and married the love of her life Jim McComas through mutual friends Jim and Alma Peters. After a brief time in Ohio, Jim and Linda settled in Hemet where they lived the remaining of their 48 and one half years together. They raised three children, Michael (wife Kim), Morgan (wife Sarah) and Melissa (husband Kyle Taylor) and were blessed with nine grandchildren, Cody, Parker, MacKenzie Taylor, Yeager Taylor, Emily, Madison, Morgan, Claire and McKaylee Taylor. She shared her passion for life, family and traveling with each of them. She made sure that each grandchild visited Washington DC and got to know their Maryland cousins. Linda's passion for traveling led her around the globe as well as through most of the North American continent. She enjoyed seeing America through the window of a motorhome with her husband Jim and long-time friends Jim and Linda Fricker. Linda found her serenity spending time at the beach. After traveling the world she determined that Oceanside had the best beach. She shared the love of the beach with all her children and grandchildren. She spent 4 weeks every summer living on the strand with her dear friend Beverly Kay Heath. Linda loved time with her grandchildren most of all and was always up for an adventure. Hours were spent watching their sporting events, plays and musical concerts. She cherished every moment. Linda loved sewing baby blankets and beach towels for family and friends as well as Christmas pajamas for her family. Linda had the unique ability to make a new friend everywhere she went and to make everyone she knew feel special. Her laugh and smile will be truly missed by all. Her Life Celebration will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hemet, 191 S. Columbia St., Hemet, CA 92544. In lieu of flowers please send donations to: The Linda McComas Memorial Fund, 676 N. Meridian, Hemet, Ca 92544.
