Linda Lee Moorhous Obituary
LINDA LEE MOORHOUS Somewhere over the rainbow, Linda Lee Moorhous, 71 years young, passed peacefully on December 16, 2015. She was born in Oakland, CA in May 1944. In 1962 she graduated from Saint Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, CA and went on to two years at Woodbury Business College in Los Angeles. Linda worked some years at Rand Corporation where she met the love of her life, John. In an instant they knew they were meant to be. John and Linda were married in 1972, honeymooned at Disneyland, and have been devoted to each other for 43 years. They took great joy in raising two children, Kim and John. One of the highlights of her life was becoming a grandmother to Kaitlyn and Matthew. Linda and John were both so proud when their son John Jr. received his BS degree from University of Redlands School of Business. Linda had deep humanity and her caring heart made her a mother figure and advocate for her beloved adoptive Vietnamese children and family. Linda was an eternal optimist with a joy for life and always lived it to the fullest, her most precious times being spent laughing with her dearly loved cousins, family and friends. Linda retired from Riverside County General Hospital after 25 years working as an ER admitting clerk where she was able to combine her work with her love for people. Linda is remembered by all who knew her as joyous, kind, loving and generous, selflessly and tirelessly helping everyone who needed it. She is deeply missed by all. Linda was preceded in death by her cherished parents Robert and Rose Marie Martin, whose sides she stayed by while easing their end of life journeys. Linda's joyous spirit will be continued on by her surviving husband John; daughter Kim; son John Jr. and his loving wife Amy; precious grandson Matthew; granddaughter of the heart Kaitlyn; brother Robert; loving sisters Janet and Debbie; loved brother-in-law Eck and all her family and friends. Linda taught us all by example the true meaning of the spirit of Christmas joy and generosity. Linda was a charitable person, so in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Linda's name to a charity of your choosing. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 1:00pm at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside CA 92504. A reception will follow at the mortuary. Burial will be private. Sign her guestbook at http://www.dignitymemorial.com/acheson-graham-garden-of-prayer-mortuary
