Louis Barclay Obituary
Born in Detroit, MI on January 9, 1938 to Michael and Frances Sanzonetta, Louise went to her eternal home on February 24, 2017 after a long struggle with chronic illnesses. In her younger years she studied Opera and had a lovely voice. She married her soulmate, Frank E. Barclay on May 3, 1958, and moved to Riverside, CA in 1961. Completely devoted to her family she spent the early years as a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, art, reading, sewing, and baking. When her children started school she began working part-time as a bookkeeper until 1980 when she began running the office for her husband's Masonry business. She supported her husband in every endeavor, embracing life with her family and ready for any adventure her husband took them on; equally comfortable and stunning in a dress and heels for a party as she was beautiful in tennis shoes camping in the wilderness.
This wonderfully vivacious woman enriched our lives with her unconditional love, childlike wonder of the world, and sense of humor. She had a natural beauty and grace. Louise never met a stranger and treated everyone the same, making them feel welcome and cared about.
Louise is survived by her husband, Frank "Ed" Barclay; daughter La Vaun Johns (Dan) of Riverside; sons Allan Barclay (Diane) and James Barclay (Toni) of Riverside; 7 grandchildren; and her extended family. She is deeply loved and has left behind amazing memories that will last our lifetime.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held in the near future. Those wishing to attend may contact the family for the date, location, and time. We welcome your presence to honor this fine woman.
