Louise Carolyn Price Obituary
LOUISE CAROLYN PRICE was born on December 24, 1927 in Beatrice, NE. She passed away October 12, 2014 in Riverside, CA from complications of Dementia. She was married to Gerald Pierce for 26 years and they had four children, Michael (Elk Grove, CA), James (Long Beach, CA), Debbie Nord (Sonora, CA), and Janet Villaverde (Riverside, CA). They lived in Redondo Beach, CA for over 20 years before Louise was widowed in September,1972. In October 1975 she married Herbert Price, children Barbara (Oregon), Ron (Murrieta,CA passed away 1999), and Kim (Nevada). Shortly thereafter they moved to Missouri for three years. Missing their children and grandchildren they moved to Sacramento, CA. There Louise worked for the tax board, Herb was retired but groomed a park-like yard, and together they enjoyed gardening. They hosted friends and family for holidays/vacations and wonderful memories of fun, food and laughter remain. In 1994 Herb and Louise moved to Hemet, CA. They made many friends, played in card groups, and learned to shuffleboard but sadly Louise was widowed in June 1996. For several more years she played cards and shuffleboard; organizing tournaments, teams, and scorekeeping. Fondly, she was named "Lady Louise". She was a member of Hemet Church of the Nazarene, and especially loved her Sunday School group. In March 2012 she moved to Riverside and lived at Faith, Hope and Love, an assisted living home. Louise was a kind, compassionate, generous woman. She was hard-working, loved to have fun and had a great sense of humor. She saw the good in others and looked on the bright side of life. She had many interests but was happiest around her family. She was genuinely interested in the details of each of their lives, was so proud of them and loved them well. She was very loved and will be deeply missed by her 4 children, 3 step-children, 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two brothers, Millard (Escondido, CA), Don (San Diego, CA), other family members and friends. To honor and celebrate her life a memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 5500 Alessandro Blvd., Riverside on December 24 at 10:00 a.m. In memoriam her family suggests giving generously to the Salvation Army's "Red Kettle".
