Lula Mae McClain "Lou" Eberlein Obituary
LULA MAE "LOU" MCCLAIN EBERLEIN was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on June 19, 1932 to Gertrude Truesdale McClain and John McClain. She entered Heaven's gates on June 22, 2014. Her family moved to California where she met her husband, Duane M. Eberlein who was stationed at March Air Force Base. They married on October 9, 1948 and soon thereafter moved to Britton, South Dakota, where they farmed and had their six children. In 1965 they returned to Rubidoux, California and eventually began the recycling center called D & L Metals on Mission Blvd. Lou and Duane enjoyed their business and all the customers they considered friends. They were more than generous in their community, always helping those in need. Lou had an unwavering faith in God and we are overjoyed that she is no longer in pain and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lou was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Duane M. Eberlein in 1998. She was also predeceased by her parents, John McClain and Gertrude Truesdale McClain, her son, Dean Allen Eberlein, her brother, Jimmy McClain, her sisters, Velva Jacobs, Ellen "Bobbie" Pierce and her first grandchild, Todd D. Augustine. Lou is survived by her children, Diana Augustine, Gerald & Bonnie Eberlein, Derek & Danielle Carrington, Gary & Jane Eberlein, Dawn & Roy Thompson; her sisters Jannie Jones and Bertie McClain, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her son, Gary and his wife, Jane cared for her the last 13 years of her life. The family gives them and her daily caregivers who cared for Lou their greatest gratitude. The family will receive friends for a viewing on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 1:00 4:00 PM at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 9:00 AM in The Chapel at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary. We love you Mom and will miss your quick wit and generous heart. And yes, we will remember to not hurt other people's feel goods! Look out heaven.the party has arrived.
