MARGOT ERIKA RESTER WRIGHT PALMGREN, 82, passed away at her home on Monday, February 11, 2014. She was born on July 1, 1931 in Germany and came to America in September of 1950 along with her husband, Edward Anthony Wright, (1928-2002). They settled in Detroit, Michigan where twin daughters were born. Eleven months later a third daughter was born. In summer of 1954 they moved to Anaheim, CA and their son was born a year later. She was married a second time to Lars Palmgren. She learned to speak, read, and write English in Germany after WWII ended. She loved to learn and earned her BA degree from CSUF in 1981. She worked her entire life and retired from Rockwell Aerospace. She also ran a Bed and Breakfast business out of her home for ten years. She was a world traveler and traveled to more than 15 countries. She is also the author of five books, two of which are autobiographies of her life in Germany and the United States. She also was an avid bridge player and served as President of the Senior Citizens Club of Anaheim for two years. She is survived by Joan Wright Romero and husband Stephen Romero of Moreno Valley, Margot Jean Wright, Anaheim, Edith Murray, Palm Springs, and Edward Wright, Anaheim, CA; grandchildren are Shane Murray and wife Kelli, Daniel Plasse and wife Martha, Michael Plasse, and Christy Plasse (1974-1978), Sarah Wright Rold and husband Scott, and Thomas Wright. She has seven great grandchildren: Cristopher, Cassandra, Noah, Kira, Makayla, Mason and Averiana. She has willed her body to UCI, for medical science. A private celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was loved!
