Marie Green Radcliffe Obituary
MARIE GREENE RADCLIFFE Marie Greene Radcliffe of Calimesa and formerly of Riverside, passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2013. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of Vera and James Greene. At seven years old she announced her intention of becoming a nurse, and never wavered in pursuing her dream. She proudly received her BS in Nursing from Keuka College, NY, in 1952 and a Masters in Administration from Loma Linda University in 1963. Marie was a dedicated nurse throughout a 39 year career, including thirteen years as Director of Nursing at Riverside General Hospital and Assistant Chief of Nurses at the VA Hospital for eight and a half years. It was there that she met her husband, Kenneth Radcliffe, who passed away in 2001. Besides nursing, Marie also had a passion for the breeding and showing of her beloved Samoyed dogs. She was an active member of the Samoyed Club of Orange County and also participated in the Samoyed Rescue group of So. Calif. Marie was predeceased by brother Bob Greene (NY) and sister Peggy Machado (CA). She will be missed by her many friends and her surviving siblings, Carol Bedford (NY), Helen Gregos (CA) and Bill Blythe (AZ), and by her numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 9th, at 2 PM, at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary in Colton, CA.
