Marilyn Harris Obituary
MARILYN HARRIS Longtime Riverside resident, Marilyn Harris, 82, passed away peacefully on September 17 following a lengthy illness. Harris, who was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Harris of 57 years had two children, Debra Rago of Riverside, and James D. Harris of Valrico, Florida and Debbie Harris, her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Harris also has three grandchildren, Jennifer Rago, Robert and Lindsay Harris, a brother, Stan Rosenfield and his two children Zachary Rosenfield & Chase Pochter of Los Angeles and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Harris and her husband moved to Riverside in the mid 1950's where he first worked at the Harris Company before they established Mardon Jewelers. They sold the company many years later. A native of Oklahoma City, she attended the University of Southern California. It was there that she met her husband. As a resident of Riverside, Harris belonged to many civic organizations including the Victoria Club, and was an active participant in many local causes. Living in Oklahoma City, while her husband was serving our country in Korea, she hosted a highly successful Saturday morning children's television show "Miss Ann," on WKY, the local NBC affiliate. Funeral services will be at 11am, Saturday at Preston & Simons Mortuary, 3358 Mission Inn Ave, Riverside, Ca.
