MARION EVELYN JOHNSON Age 88, passed away on June 22, 2013. A longtime resident of Riverside, California, and recent resident of Eskaton Village in Grass Valley, CA, Marion grew up in Los Angeles and attended Fremont High School, Metropolitan Business College, and Riverside City College. For decades she was an active participant in community organizations, including Childhelp USA, Friends of the Library, the Riverside Art Museum, and Friends of the Mission Inn, as well as a supporter of the Salvation Army, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and the Riverside Humane Society. In her later years, everyone around her took inspiration from the courage and good humor with which she faced her physical decline. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard. She is survived by her three children: Rosemary Carstens (Longmont, CO), Suzanne Hall (Grass Valley, CA), and Jack Guymon (Belleville, NY); her son-in-law Jerry Hall; and her daughter-in-law Sandy Guymon; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
