Marjorie Louise (Riefler) Davies Obituary
MARJORIE LOUISE (RIEFLER) DAVIES 12/17/1924 06/12/2015 Marjorie Louise (Riefler) Davies, born on December 17, 1924 in Honesdale, PA to John and Helen (Shannon) Riefler, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on June 12, 2015. In 1938, Marjorie met her future husband, Alexander Patrick Davies, Sr. They were joined in holy matrimony on Sept. 28, 1946, and were married for 62 years prior to Alex's passing. They were blessed with eight children, Alexander Jr, James, Carolyn, John, Harry, Helen, Susan and Marjorie, whom she is survived by, in addition to fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marjorie was a registered nurse, graduating from the Wilkes-Barre General School of Nursing in 1946. Marjorie was known for her compassion, strength of character and sense of humor, leading to her early success in nursing. She was a gifted seamstress who made many cherished clothes and toys for her children and grandchildren. However, Marjorie's passion was motherhood for which she was the consummate role-model, teaching us all to love generously and unconditionally, to act with integrity and compassion, to see the beauty and value in all, and to be happy and laugh often. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted sister and friend whose spirit of love and support will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 26th at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 8540 Weirick Road, Corona, CA, with reception to follow. Rosary to precede funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Inland Memorial (951) 248-2299
