Marjorie Mae Greene Obituary
MARJORIE MAE GREENE 1921 - 2015 Marjorie (Margie) Mae Greene died of natural causes at her home in Hemet, CA on October 26th, 2015. She was 94 years old having been born in Minneapolis, MN on May 16th, 1921. Her parents, Anton and Nellie Carlson along with her older brother Stanley A. Carlson, moved to CA when she was quite young where she would later meet the man of her dreams, Gordon McKinnon Greene. She married Gordon on June 22nd, 1940 and they were inseparable for nearly 60 years and only Gordon's passing in 2000 could break their bond. Marjorie loved being active and that meant fun for the entire family. She fiercely defended her children and instilled a creative curiosity in them. She was an active artist, painting in oils and water colors for many years and was always sketching scenes of nature on family camping trips. In later years she became an avid gardener and her gardens were always awash with bright colors of fuchsias, geraniums and roses. Marjorie's favorite saying was "life is just a bowl of cherries" and most days, she was smiling when she said it. Marjorie raised two sons, Ronald Burton Greene, who preceded her in death in 2009, and Bradford McKinnon Greene who resides in Seattle, WA. Marjorie's brother Stan preceded her in death in 1992. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jeanne Carlson; niece Kathrin Coyote of Murrieta, CA and her beloved kitty Angel.
