Mary Ida Day Obituary
MARY IDA DAY Born May 27, 1918 in Puxico, Missouri, passed away peacefully with family at her side in Moreno Valley, California, March 7, 2013 at the age of 94. She was married for 63 years to John F. Day, who predeceased her on March 11, 1998. Together they ran a successful real estate construction business for 20 years after moving to Moreno Valley in 1974. Affectionately known as "Mag" to her loved ones, Mary was famous for her baked goods, especially her pies. Her favorite pastimes were rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers, being an active member of Eastern Star, the Wesleyan Methodist Church, and Christ Community Church. Among the many grieving her loss, but celebrating her long and well-lived life are her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Charles Liberto; son John H. and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Day; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grand-daughter. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley. Funeral services will be held at Christ Community Church, 24580 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley on Thursday March 14 at 11 am. Graveside service Friday, March 15 at San Fernando Mission Cemetery 11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, at 11 am.
