Mary Lee Adams

1933 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Mary went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 25, 2017. She was born July 31, 1933, in Overcup, Arkansas, to Wiley Franklin Bostian and Etta Estella (Crowder) Bostian. The youngest of nine children, she grew up in a simple country setting learning to love God; the world He created, the salvation that He offered, and the personal relationship that she shared with Him. She also learned to love people; the importance of honesty, integrity, respect and compassion for others, especially friends and family.
After graduating high school, she and two girlfriends moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for the FBI. In November 1952, she married Billy Adams, and they made their home in Hemet, CA. They stayed in the area their entire lives and raised their three children there. She was a homemaker but she also did many other jobs, including keeping the books for the family business, working for Wadsworth Insurance, General Telephone, and the Hemet Valley Hospital. She absolutely loved music. She loved singing at home, in the car, in the choir, everywhere. Piano, records, choirs and musicals were a part of her life. She also loved gardening. Any plant was her friend. Every one of them was her "favorite".
Mary Lee made an impact on the people that she touched in her life. She taught values to children, counseled with co-workers, nursed and comforted those in need, using God's love as her basis for truth. She often said that God had blessed her for her entire life. We have also been blessed, having known her.
Mary Lee leaves behind a host of memories along with her much loved family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and four sisters; and one grandson, Kevin Stuart. She is survived by her husband Billy Adams; sisters Laurine North and Melba Hoskinson; children Jonathan (Debbie) Adams, Susan (David) Stuart, Neal Adams; grandchildren Daniel (Louise) Adams, LeAnna Adams, Andrea (Lee) Jones, Thomas (Rebecca) Adams, Benjamin (Nichole) Adams, Debbie Stuart, Karen (Scott) Pullen; and many great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 11:00 am, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 433 S. San Jacinto St., Hemet, CA. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, June 5. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Arbor Hospice of Hemet, 951-658-9288, or online at arborhospicecare.org.
