Mary Lee Splane Obituary
MARY LEE SPLANE Born in Chanute, Kansas on December 5, 1924 passed away in Hemet CA on April 18, 2013 surrounded by family and friends. Married for 46 years to the late Jack C Splane who passed away on May 5, 1988 she was an inspiring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be sorely missed. She seemed to be the happiest when she was experiencing an adventure on the road to attempt to satisfy an insatiable appetite for wonder. Mary loved to express herself with making decorative cakes for family and friends. They took many shapes and sizes such as slot machines, ginger bread houses, and her alligator. Mary enjoyed her grandkids very much and was known to share a saying, " Can't never did anything ". Her family describes her as active, always on the go, and a bit of a gypsy who liked to experience different places to live. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Peterson (George), Sherry Crawford (Arthur) and Carry Mahan (James); sister Barbara Ann LaGrace; 7 grandchildren, Jack, Glenn, Teri, Judy, Byron, Shannon and Traci; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Preceded in death was her husband Jack Splane, sisters, Arlene, Lucille, Madeline and brother Jack. Services will be held at Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel, 1501 W. Florida Ave., Hemet, CA 92543 on April 29, 2013 at 10:00 am followed by a reception in the Ramona Room. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518 at 2:00 pm, staging area # 1.
