MARY LOUISE BENNETT Mary Bennett passed away peacefully on March 10, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 86. Mary was born on December 16, 1926 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was the youngest of nine children born to Fred and Edith Ellis. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1945. Mary moved to California in the early 1950s where she met and married Claude Bennett. They lived in Visalia before moving to Hawthorne in 1959 where they raised three children. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mary was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as church secretary for many years. Claude and Mary retired in Murrieta in 1989. They attended Hope Lutheran Church in Temecula. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Claude. She is survived by her sons: David of Kennewick, Washington; Brian of Tustin and her daughter, Lisa Butterfield of Moreno Valley; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 11650 Perris Blvd., Moreno Valley.
