MARY NASSIVERA ARMENTA 10/25/1925 - 3/7/2014 Mary passed away March 7, 2014 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born October 25, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to Albino and Dorotea Nassivera. She attended school in Philadelphia and during WWII, she was one of the first woman life guards in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was a physical trainer at MacLevey's, the first reducing salon in Philadelphia. She met and married Joe Armenta in 1946 and was married at Saint Anthony's church in Casa Grande, Arizona. They lived in Mesa, Arizona for 25 years where they raised their four children before moving to Hemet in 1976, where she worked at Stride Rite Shoes for 13 years. Mary loved to travel, and was an accomplished seamstress, knitted and crocheted, and her most accomplished hobby was in her stained glass works. She shared her incredible cooking skills, entertaining family and friends with her Italian favorites. Mary is survived by her husband, Joe Armenta and children: Marina Brubaker (Walt), Mary Lou Armenta, Anita LaFevers (Garye), Larry Armenta, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and her step-sister Mary Castellano. Memorial will be private; celebrating a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend to many.
