Mary Patricia "Pat" Pfeiffer Obituary
MARY PATRICIA "PAT" PFEIFFER, 73, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 in Riverside, Ca, while in the hospital receiving treatment for lymphoma. Pat was a long time resident of Norco, CA moving there with her beloved Ted in 1973. She also had homes in Newport Beach, CA and Kino Bay, Mexico. Pat was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Quincy, Illinois on August 27, 1943 to George Henry Clark and Mary Margaret Reich Clark, both from Illinois. She was the oldest of five children; her brothers are Tom, Tim, Mike, and Bill Clark who all live in Tucson, AZ. She grew up in Illinois and enjoyed working with animals on the farm. When she was 16 years old the family moved to Tucson, Arizona where she attended high school and later enrolled in the University of Arizona, studying to become a teacher. She got a teaching job after college in Corona, Ca. While she was teaching she also enjoyed riding horses and met a handsome firefighter, Ted Pfeiffer. They were married the day she finished her Master's Degree from the U of A, on August 21st, 1971 in Tucson, AZ. They lived in Corona, Mira Loma and then bought their home on Bluff St. in Norco, where they lived out the remainder of their lives. They had two children Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Pfeiffer in 1973 and Orien Theodore "Teddy" Pfeiffer II in 1977. Pat taught for the Corona-Norco School District her entire career, almost 40 years, and spent many at Parkridge Elementary. She retired in 2004. Pat and Ted traveled the world and had many adventures. They loved spending time with friends and family all over the country. She loved her granddaughter, Alyssa, who called her NiNi and would just light up every time she saw her. Pat lost her husband, Ted, in February of this year and had been broken-hearted ever since. The family takes comfort in the fact that they're reunited in heaven. Services will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at Evans-Brown Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Dr., Sun City, CA 92585.
