Max B. Abbott Obituary
MAX B. ABBOTT passed away on February 16, 2014 in Riverside, California from a long battle with Alzheimer. Max was a long time resident of Riverside. He was born on February 25, 1933 in Galesburg, Illinois. Max spent the early years of his life in Denver, Colorado. There he met his love, his partner, his wife and best friend Charlotte Farinacci. They fell in love, married and began their family. They had four wonderful children, Kristi, Kathy, Tom and Danna. Max worked for Coors Brewery for many years. Then the family came to California being transferred throughout the state working for Coors. Moving on in life Max began his career being self-employed in the carwash business in Riverside and Redlands for many years. Max enjoyed life to its fullest. Charlotte and Max traveled to many beautiful places in the world; Maui Hawaii being one of their most loved spots, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. May 1st of this year would have been their 59th anniversary. Max had many hobbies being an avid sports fan. He enjoyed baseball, football and his love of the Angeles and the Denver Broncos. His biggest love was golfing; he played some of the most beautiful courses in the United States. Max was a long time member of the Jurupa Hills Golf Association for 18 years. He was on the JHGA board of governors and president of the association for many years. Max promoted the game of golf and provided many years of dedicated service to the association and its members. From this he was awarded an honorary life membership in the Jurupa Hills Golf Association. Max was preceded by his loving youngest daughter, Danna Dolores Webb, and most loving mother-in-law, Thresa Farinacci, father-in-law, Thomas Farinacci, and sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Ralph Anselmo. His surviving wife Charlotte Abbott will love him and miss him for life and beyond. His legacy leaves behind Kristi Dirgo, Kathy Redmond and Tom Abbott; sons-in-law Larry Dirgo and John Webb; his beautiful grandchildren; Reggie, Jennifer, Leian, Aaron, and Conner; and four great-grandchildren; Ilah, Haidynn, Olivia and Paisley. Max is also survived by two nieces and two nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on February 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Riverside, California. Burial will occur on March 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmont Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
