MICHAEL THEODORE LEESE Age 56, passed away in his sleep on January 17, 2015, in the arms of his wife, Kelli, after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born in Plainwell, Ml,on July 16, 1958, raised in Simi Valley, CA, graduated from Royal High School, then went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. Michael's love for education and children sent him back to school where he received a B.A. and two Masters Degrees and became a teacher for San Jacinto Unified School District. From an early age, alongside his Dad, Michael learned the joy of fishing and became an avid fisherman. The highlight of his fishing career was landing a 20 lb., 3 oz. brown trout from the shore at Grant Lake in May 1991. Aside from his love of fishing, Michael was a staunch sports fan - loved the Rams, Angels, and attending games. Michael was a very special person who embraced life with a passion. His life was a daily testament to his beliefs in our country, his faith, marriage, education, work ethics, and caring for others. His friendship and animated laughter will be missed by his many friends and family, including his beloved dog, Zeeva. Michael is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kelli of 9 years; parents Wilfred and Margaret; sisters Dawn, Michele (husband Ian); aunts Ethel, Florence and Violet; "mom"- in-law Hazel Stephens; sister-in-law; Sue (husband Harold), Patsy, Janice; brother in-law Tommy; 18 nieces and nephews; and 20 great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. All are invited to the military service at 10:30 a.m. on February 6, 2015, at the Riverside National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held later that evening at The 412 Church, 1450 W. 7th St., San Jacinto, CA, at 6:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The 412 Church, , or a .
