MICHEAL A. FORTINO
Micheal A. Fortino passed away on 3/20/2017 in Riverside CA. Micheal was born in Pontiac, MI on 9/18/1955 to parents Dominick and Joan Fortino. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey Lyle Fortino. He was married to Sharon Fortino for over 38 years. A loving, caring spouse, father, grandfather and brother. Micheal leaves behind his spouse Sharon; brother Scott; 2 children Christopher M. Fortino and Dominique D. (Nick) Bazanos along with four grandchildren, Aiden, Makenzie, Sophia Bazanos and Madeline Fortino.
Mike was part of a military family and lived all over the country and Europe. He graduated from La Sierra H.S. in 1974. He attended RCC and graduated with honors from UCR in 1978. He worked for Allstate Insurance while attending the Univ. of La Verne Law School at night. Graduating in 1990 with a Juris Doctor in Law he joined the law firm of Fidler and Bell which would later become Orrock, Popka, Fortino, Tucker and Dolen. Mike earned many accolades as a lawyer but his true passion was wood working. When asked what his profession was he would often reply "woodworker." He and his brother Scott made many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends.
Mike volunteered for several years as a board member for Prime Vintage which raised money for the American Health Assoc. In 2014 he became a volunteer for the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) at Riverside Municipal Airport to honor his father who was a crew chief and flew B-25's. He hoped to become a pilot himself one day.
