MILDRED IRENE Richardson Obituary
MILDRED IRENE ONDER (RICHARDSON)
Mildred Irene Onder (Richardson), daughter of Anna Mirdo and John Onder, was born January 25, 1928, at home on the family farm on a winter day in Conneautville, Pennsylvania. Her job as a child on the farm was to walk the rows of vegetables and pick the bugs off the leaves and squash them which she didn't like! Her family moved to Warren, Ohio where she attended high school and graduated from Warren G. Harding High in 1947.
Mildred loved to dance and socialize at the school clubs. She moved to Fontana, California with her parents and younger brother where she eventually met and married Walker LeRoy Richardson in June 1949, the "Marine and Cowboy" who caught her eye. They lived in North Carolina and Florida for a short while during Walker's military service where three of their children were born. Mildred wanted a large family and together they had six children, Sharon Nixon, Curtis Richardson, Mark Richardson, Karen Pecora, David Richardson and Rebecca Grahek.
Mildred and Walker were married for 50 years before Walker passed away. Mildred leaves a legacy of self-respect and honesty and this lives on in the lives of her six children, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Martha Bartlett and Joseph Onder.
