Myra Linn Peck Obituary
MYRA LINN PECK Myra Linn Peck of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11 at the age of 91. She grew up in La Sierra, CA on the family lemon ranch with her two beloved sisters, and was raised by her father Stanley Linn, nephew of Jane Addams (Nobel Laureate), and her mother Myra Reynolds Linn (Myra Linn Elementary School). She attended Poly High School in Riverside, CA and College of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where she met her husband Albert Peck. They married shortly before he left to serve in the Navy during WWII. She lived on a number of islands with her family including Samoa, Hawaii, and St. Thomas VI, where her husband was involved with the building of educational television stations. She especially loved St. Thomas and, surrounded by close friends, continued to live there for almost 30 years. She loved to snorkel, collect shells, and make a variety of crafts that she sold to the island tourists. She returned to Riverside four years ago to be closer to family. She was a witty, outspoken, fun-loving person who was adored by all those around her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by son David (Kristin) Peck of Temecula, CA; daughter-in-law Karla Peck of Prescott, AZ; sister Mary Wallace of Arcadia; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Peck, son Albert Peck, Jr., and sister Jane Morse. In lieu of flowers, please support your local humane society.
