NANCY WALIGORSKI Menifee, CA Passed away 9/6/14 at home in Menifee Nancy was born December 21, 1930 in Springfield, MO moving to Los Angeles, CA in December 1941. She attended schools in Los Angeles and Springfield, MO. Nancy later got a degree in Fine Arts in Maryland where she moved to in 1960. Shortly after moving to Maryland she met her husband Anthony (Tony) Waligorski. Tony was an engineer for Martin Marietta and then Westinghouse where he worked on both the Gemini and Apollo Space Programs. Upon Tony's retirement in 1997 they moved to Southern California to be near Nancy's family. In retirement Nancy became more active in volunteer work. She was a member of the Founder's Committee for the Southwest Family YMCA, helping to raise enough money for the founding of a branch of the Riverside County YMCA. Nancy served as Executive Secretary on the first Board of Directors of the new Southwest Family YMCA. Nancy was a member of the Temecula Valley Newcomers Club, serving in several positions and on the Board of Directors. In 2002 Nancy moved to the Casablanca Villas in Sun City where she again became active by getting elected to the Board of Directors and she served on the Events Committee. She later became the head of the "Travel Club." She organized many trips and events, always on the best buses and cruise ships. Nancy was an aunt and grandmother to many young people, she loved all the weddings and then the babies. She had a zest for life including travel. Last year she got her last bucket list trip in, she went to the "Redwoods" in Northern California. Nancy always looked at life, "as the cup as half full", and always keeping a great attitude through her many illnesses over the last couple of years. In the last couple of years she re-connected with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Memorial service will be on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1pm at Canyon Lake Community Church, Canyon Lake, CA.
