Natalie Bishop Obituary
NATALIE BISHOP Natalie Bishop passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends October 6, 2013 in Sun City, CA at the age of 95. Natalie was born on September 11, 1918 in Leetsdale, PA to parents Alexander and Anna Koehler. She married Sheridan Bishop, Jr. on February 28, 1938. They started their home on the East Coast where they had Sheridan III. From New York, they came to Whittier, CA in 1948 where they had Ruth. She and Sheridan traveled throughout the world on many tours and cruises together. He preceded her in death in 1999. Natalie was a resident of Sun City since 1976. Natalie was a kind, loving person whom respected others. She knew to forgive and forget. She had a presence about her when she entered the room. She had a great (sometimes dry) sense of humor and could surprise people with it. She loved music, dancing and always kept active. Natalie bowled for many years, played pinochle, canasta and was a lifetime member of the Travel Club. She enjoyed gardening and liked to watch 'Jeopardy' and 'Wheel of Fortune'. She was a charter member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Whittier, CA. Natalie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; her parents; 2 brothers and a sister. Natalie is survived by her son Sheridan Bishop III of Orange and her daughter Ruth Maser and son-in-law Milton of Sun City; 4 grandchildren Sheri Thornton (Texas), Sheridan Bishop IV (Alaska), Aaron Thomas (CA) and Shal Thomas (CA); 4 great-grandchildren Joseph, Katheriner, Onyx, and Elizabeth; sister Ruth Caputo and many nieces and nephews. Natalie's life will be celebrated at 11 AM, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, 28200 Portsmouth Drive, Sun City, CA.
