NEIL HOCH, born in Alma, Wisconsin on March 31, 1929 to Alvin and Olivia Hoch, passed away at home in Homeland, California surrounded by family on April 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis, four children: Barbara Kendall (Merlin), Laurie Hamel (Dave), David Hoch (Lisa) and Vicki Hoch, his brother Gale Hoch, his sister Marlene Baecker, four grandchildren: Derek Hamel, Dane Scharff (Danie), Jake Hoch and Mallory Hoch and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant son Ricky, granddaughter Jordan, and two brothers: Merlin and Myron Hoch. Neil served in the Korean War and taught math in the Riverside Unified School District for more than 29 years before retiring to Highland Palms in Homeland in 1988. Neil will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery. A celebration of life at Highland Palms club house will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 2 pm.
