1945 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
OLIVIA ANN HOLMES Of Cherry Valley, passed away at home February 18, 2016. She was the second of three children of Charles A. and Natalie Mann, of Colton. Olivia was born at St. Bernardine's hospital in San Bernardino September 8, 1945. She attended Colton schools, graduating with honors in 1963. Olivia graduated from San Bernardino Valley College, majored in science, and earned her registered nurse certification in 1974. She worked as an OR nurse and a nurse trainer for Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Fontana for over 20 years. She also worked for Dr. Sam Knappenberger in San Bernardino for a number of years. Olivia enjoyed many things in life, especially the outdoors, travel cruises, and RV-ing. She also belonged to the So Cal Corvette Club during the early '90's. She especially found most happiness being with family and friends Olivia is preceded in death by her parents and older brother Charles E. Mann of Upland in 2001. Olivia is survived by her husband of 21 years, Joe Holmes of Cherry Valley, and her daughter Deena M. Davenport-Conway (Gunner) of San Francisco, stepdaughter Sara Holmes of Calimesa, and her brother Michael A. Mann (Ellen) of Lake Havasu City, AZ. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, friends and relatives in Arizona, Colorado, and New England. Internment by cremation is entrusted to Montecito Funeral Home, no graveside services. A memorial to celebrate Olivia's life will be at Montecito Memorial Chapel 3520 E. Washington St. Colton, California at 10 am, Saturday February 27th. Refreshments will be served afterwards at the mortuary.
