Oralia F. (Orie) Miranda Obituary
In loving Memory ORALIA F. MIRANDA (ORIE) entered into the gates of heaven surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and son Gilbert Miranda. She is survived by her son Edward (wife Anna); son Arnold (wife Becky); daughter Yvonne (partner Linda); daughter-in-law Genevieve; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Orie was born on October 21, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas where she met and married her husband Paul. They moved to California where they resided for many years but eventually moved to Riverside, California. Orie worked for the Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services in Pomona and after 25 years of faithful service she retired. In 2006 she moved to Apple Valley where she resided for the last 10 years of her life. From 2007 to 2011 she was a dedicated volunteer at St. Joseph Health, St. Mary in Apple Valley. She was involved with the local senior center and attended Calvary Chapel High Desert Church in Hesperia. Orie loved the lord with all her heart and her faith was strong. She was never judgmental, saw good in everyone and helped several in need. She was a colorful person and loved to wear bright colors, especially orange and red and her nails were her trademark, but it was her infectious smile we all loved and will miss. We take comfort knowing she is at peace in Heaven. Orie's celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 10:30 a.m. at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6115 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. Followed by her burial at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery. Arlington Mortuary in Riverside is handling the services. There will be a reception following the burial at the home of Edward and Anna Miranda in Riverside. The Miranda family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers and all expressions of kindness and concern.
