Orien Ted Pfeiffer Obituary
ORIEN THEODORE "TED" PFEIFFER was the first baby born in the year 1941, in Riverside County at March Field, to Orien Taylor Pfeiffer and Thelma Alcone Pfeiffer. They lived all over the world including Panama, Japan, where Ted attended high school, and Texas, where Ted went to Texas Lutheran College. The family included Tom, Ted, Ouida, Tim, and Mary, all little towheads. Ted was proud to play trombone for the Marine Corps Marching Band. Ted then progressed in the California Department of Forestry to Battalion Chief/Arson Investigator. As an engineer he was patrolling in El Cerrito and flirted with a young teacher riding at the stables with her dog. Meeting later they started dating, and he proposed on Father's Day on the phone while Pat was getting her degree at UofA in Tucson. Ted liked to say that "she was getting 2 masters on the same day". He was a 30 year old confirmed bachelor. Pat & Ted were married on August 21, 1971. Beth and Teddy came next. Lots of travel ensued taking the kids along to over 5 continents. They were married 45 exciting years. He loved his little granddaughter Alyssa as soon as he saw her and she called him Papa. We love you and miss you Ted! Ted's motto: "Be Safe."
