Paul E. Moore Obituary
PAUL E. MOORE Paul E. Moore, 95, of Sun City, CA, peacefully graduated to Heaven on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his assisted living facility in Riverside, CA. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, the 6th of October 2016 at the Menifee United Church of Christ, 26701 McCall Blvd., Menifee, CA 92586; Reverend Bill Freeman will be officiating. Burial will follow at 2 PM at Riverside National Cemetery at 2495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. Paul was born August 3, 1921 in Homestead, PA to Suzanne and Paul Moore. A child of the Depression, he encountered challenges early in life with the death of his mother in giving childbirth to his sister. He left home as a teenager and traveled across the continent relying on his wit, hard work, and the kindness of strangers. A true patriot, he joined the Army shortly after Pearl Harbor, and turned it into a 21-year military career. He had tours of duty in European Theater combat zones, commanded a gunnery school for various Army Air Corps bombers, and served the rest of his career as officer-in-charge of various support and administrative operations before retiring as a Major from the Air Force in 1962. He joined Security Pacific Bank for his second career as a Loan Officer, eventually retiring from the Sun City Branch in 1984. He loved the Colorado Rockies passionately, having built an A-Frame in Rico which he shared in the summertime with his children and grandchildren. He traveled extensively around the world; in Rico, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, jeeping, and the beauty of the Rockies. Paul was preceded in death by wives, Murlene and Wanda; brother Don; and sisters Ruth and Evelyn. Paul is survived by his daughter, Donna Cabana from Riverside, and two sons, Greg Moore (wife Patti) from San Diego, and Scott Moore (wife Glory) of Central Point, Oregon. He is also survived by grandchildren Lisa Moore, Laura Flood (husband Steve), Wade Hampton (wife Kristina), Alex Moore, Becky Moore, Andrew Moore (wife Katherine), and Scott Moore Jr. (wife Tabitha). He was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
