Colonel Paul L. Green Obituary
COLONEL PAUL L. GREEN United States Air Force (RET) Age 91, passed away on February 24, 2015 in Alta Loma, California. Col. Green was a former Base Commander at Norton Air Force Base. He retired from active duty in 1976 after 33 years of distinguished military service. A highly decorated officer, Paul was also a devoted and active member of our community. In February 2006 Colonel Green received an Honorary Doctorate in Public Service from Tuskegee University, Alabama, and in 2007 he was awarded the Tuskegee Airmen Congressional Medal of Honor by President George W. Bush. Col. Green is survived by Angel, his wife of 72 years. Also surviving him are his daughter Noriko, now living in Atlanta, Georgia and his son, Galen, now living in Studio City, California, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge the kind generosity of San Bernardino International Airport and Norton Air Force Base Museum for the use of their facilities for Col Green's reception following the committal service. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 3-5pm with a funeral service to follow on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404. A Committal Service with full military honors will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.
