Paul N. Marcotte Obituary
PAUL N. MARCOTTE Age 78, passed away October 4, 2012 as a result of complications following many months of fighting cancer. He was born in Garvin, Minnesota to Oscar and Zella Marcotte. He was preceded in death by brothers Donald and Joseph and sisters, Jean and Barbara. Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne, and sons Joseph (Jana), Michael (Patti), Kenneth (Sherry), five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Paul served in the United States Air Force from November 1952 to May 1975. Following retirement from the Air Force, Paul worked for Prudential Uniform and Sears & Roebuck. He was actively involved in the Goseke Senior Center for many years. Over the years all his hobbies were approached with a passion for achieving excellence. They included photography, amateur radio, computer and genealogy research. His genealogy research provided family members across the country with a fascinating look into the family background going back several centuries. Paul was so generous with his time and talents, always willing to give a lesson or fix a problem with a computer or provide a refresher on getting around the keyboard. His unique sense of humor and love of a little trickery will be missed by family and friends, young and old. Visitation will be held 10/10/2012 from 5-8pm with graveside service and Military Honors on 10/11/2012 at Riverside National Cemetery at 10:15am, Stg. #2.
