1926 - 2017 Obituary Condolences

Ralph Guidero passed away on January 29, 2017 at the age of 90.
Ralph was born downtown in the heart of Los Angeles on June 9, 1926.
The family moved to El Sereno, where he attended elementary school and Wilson High School. In 1944 Ralph left his senior class to join the Navy during WWII, he eventually became a corpsman, and served stateside as well as in the south pacific aboard the U.S.S. Arneb.
Upon returning home, Ralph used his G.I. Bill to attend school at "Lukits Academy of Fine Arts" and "Otis" "L.A. County Art Institute".
Ralph returned to active duty in 1950 at the "USNR" beck and call, the Korean War, and was assigned to Camp Pendleton marine base near Carlsbad.
Once again indulging in civilian life, Ralph used his artistic background to obtain employment in several architectural offices as an Architect, drafter, and illustrator. At one point, he had the privilege to work on different sets at Universal Studios. He eventually moved to Riverside, CA in 1958 and continued his work in the field of architecture.
He met his wife Beverley and soon married on Christmas Eve of 1959. "Why Christmas Eve?", so he would not forget an anniversary.
Ralph was a very social person. He used to say; "if there is no one around I will talk to a tree". He loved sharing jokes.
He leaves behind a son and a daughter, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a wonderful wife. Christmas Eve 2016 marked their 57th wedding anniversary.
There will be a private inurnment at Riverside National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to
