Obituary Condolences

RAQUEL BLANN, precious wife of Tom Blann, went home to Jesus on December 27, 2016, her 75th birthday. She was born in San Bernardino, CA and was raised in Highgrove in northern Riverside. She graduated from Poly High School in Riverside, attended San Bernardino Valley College and Riverside City College. Raquel was a devoted Christian; she had a beautiful and infectious smile that would brighten every place she went. She and her husband left Riverside for Oakton, VA in 1988. She delighted in gardening, watercolor painting, singing, and traveling with Tom. Upon retirement, they moved to Sedona, AZ in early August 2016. She is survived by her husband. Surviving children are Lisa Allan of Corona and Carlos Ramirez of Banning. Surviving stepdaughters are Jean Booth of Oceanside, and Becky Campbell of Leavenworth, WA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Suzie Blann, in 2000. Her grandchildren include John Allan, Amanda and Kyle Hutchins, children of Jean Booth, and Keldan, Skye, and Tim Campbell. Surviving siblings include one sister, Belen Bermudez, and two brothers, Sam Martinez, and Alex Martinez. She was predeceased by her older brother, Ray Martinez. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 12 noon at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Olivewood Cemetery.
