Regenia Wilkes Marsh Obituary
February 15, 1931 – April 28, 2017
Regenia "Tally" of Temecula passed away at the age of 86 after a long courageous battle against COPD and complications of the disease. She was at her home along with her family. This was her desire to be at home with her loved ones, rather than in a hospital or other medical facility. She always displayed dignity and selflessness even through her struggles the final years.
She was born in Oak Park, Georgia to Allie J. Wilkes and Mattie Wilkes. She left home at the age of 14 to live in Savannah, Georgia with her aunt. She finished school while working and then started a full time job with Sears where she worked as communications director, travel coordinator and modeling clothing.
Regenia was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and mother-in-law. She was the most caring person, never putting herself first and always looking out for the best of others. She raised a family mostly by herself as her husband was a pilot in the military and was away flying on many occasions for extended periods of time. Family was the most important thing to her. She always maintained contact with her family and had many special friends that she loved and who loved her. June 2, 2017 would have marked her 56th year of marriage.
She is survived by her husband Edred T. Marsh Jr.; her daughter Tonya; her son Tom; her granddaughters Corynn and Hannah; her grandson Edred IV, and her sister Lois.
Regenia wished to be cremated and her final resting place will be at the Miramar National Cemetery. We are so blessed and grateful that the Lord let us spend this time with her. Regenia will indeed be missed as there are no words that can describe the greatness she possessed. She will forever be in our hearts.
