Reynaldo Lozano "Lalo" Soria Obituary
REYNALDO LOZANO SORIA "LALO" Lalo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Loma Linda University Medical Center on December 12, 2014. He was born in Riverside, CA on November 15, 1938. Lalo resided in Riverside his entire life, attending Riverside Poly High School and enlisting in the United States Marine Corp. in 1956. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he began his career as a brick mason, belonging to the Bricklayers & Trowel Trades Union, Lalo was preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Josephine Soria, his sister Estella Carrillo and a beloved son Raymond Hernandez Soria. Lalo is survived by a son Richard H. Soria of Riverside; two daughters Linda Kelley (Doug) and Martha Nieto (Carlos), both of Riverside; step-daughters Sally Montanez (Gilbert), Christy Threadgold and Katherine Herrera (Steve), all of Riverside; five grandchildren, Richard Soria Jr., Jordan and Heather Kelley, Adam and Julia Nieto, and great granddaughter Ava Soria; his eldest sister Bertha Pena (Henry), also of Riverside. Lalo was a hard working devoted father who always put others before himself. He was also very proud of his service in the Marines. He was deeply loved and cherished by his friends and family, and he will be sorely missed. Services will be held on December 30, 2014 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. in Riverside. A Rosary will begin at 9:30 am followed by visitation, with services beginning at 11:00 am. Interment immediately following at Riverside National Cemetery.
