RICHARD JOSEPH WHEELER Age 76, passed away at home from cancer on 10/25/2014. He was born in Scott City, Kansas and had lived in Norco, CA for 45 years. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the City of Anaheim for 35 years and was a horseshoer for 25 years. He was a member of the Saddle Sore Riders - Corral 22, Norco Horse Week. and Norco Horseman's Assoc. Richard is survived by his wife Lynda Wheeler in Norco, CA; daughter Wendy Hagaman of Windsor, CA; step-daughters Judi Aroves of Lubbock, TX, Jane Sullivan of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Jennifer Summers of Oem, UT; son Joe Wheeler of Santa Roso, CA and step-son Rich Tillema of Norco, CA; sister Rhonda Hudson of Scott City, KS and brothers Bob Wheeler and Rod Wheeler, both of Scott City, KS; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Celebration of Life will be on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00am at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA 92505. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Saddle Sore Riders, Inc., P.O. Box 276, Norco, CA 92860 or Norco Horseweek, P.O. Box 582, Norco, CA 92860.
