Rita I. Jabs Obituary
RITA I. JABS On May 27, 2015, Rita I. Jabs passed away at Riverside Community Hospital, from complications due to surgery. Her blessed and happy life started on February 5th, 1939 in Arneburg, Germany, immigrating to the USA in 1947. She was extremely proud to be a naturalized citizen of the US, and saw 48 of our beautiful 50 states. She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Robert Jabs, on June 20th, 1959, dancing the polka every Saturday for 56 years. She was always supportive of Bob's work at California Baptist University. They have two children, Stephen Jabs and April Young, who gave her six grandchildren, Katherine, Kimberly, Stephanie, Gage, Ryan, Caitlin and two great-grandchildren, Jocilynn and Evelyn. Rita loved the Lord Jesus, her family and many friends. Her faith in God had always been a major part of her life, and a driving motivation in what she had accomplished in her 76 years, living her life with these verses close to her heart; Proverbs 3:3-5, John 3:16, Joshua 1:5-7. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a beloved-faithful wife. Loved by all who have met her, she inspired them to be better people through her faith in Christ and her love of life. She loved camping in the High Sierra's and traveling the world. She always had a smile and a hug ready for all. She dearly loved people and was always hospitable towards them. She was often known as the "Pass it on Lady" because she liked to pass out inspirational cards with bible verses on them. She was an active member of Magnolia Church. Her quick wit, humor, and her zest for life made her an unforgettable woman. She will be missed by all who have been blessed to know her. She will be forever in our hearts. The services are Friday, June 5th from 4pm to 8pm for viewing at Acheson and Graham Mortuary; Church service at Magnolia Church, at 2pm on June 6th.
