Robert "Bob" Biggers Obituary
ROBERT "BOB" BIGGERS, 74, of Yucaipa, Ca passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 after a three month battle against advanced cancer. He was born in Rockford Illinois on March 10th, 1940. Bob graduated from Knox College, Ill. with a B.A. in History. He then spent a year and-a-half in Vietnam as a volunteer educational consultant, building schools and teaching teachers. After returning to the States, Bob married Patricia Adams in August of 1966. They worked together at a children's home in Rockford for two years, Bob also taught school. They moved to DeKalb, Ill. where Bob earned a Masters in Asian Studies and a Doctorate in Education. Bob and Pat raised two sons, Robert and Patrick , in Geneseo Ill. while Bob worked for the Illinois State Board of Education, then the E.V. Free church of Geneseo as an assistant pastor and then for himself as an independent educational consultant. In 1993, Bob and Pat moved to Bellflower, Ca to help take care of his aging parents. During that time they worked together as gardeners. In 2002 they moved to Yucaipa, Ca where Bob continued to do gardening, which he loved. Bob is survived by Patricia, his wife of 48 years, his two sons Robert and Patrick, several grandchildren, extended family, and dozens of friends, all of which have been blessed by his godly and Christ-like life. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 11th, 10:30am at The Anchor Bible Church, located at 2015 W Park Ave. #3, Redlands, Ca 92373. In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to the Anchor Bible Church building fund.
