ROBERT "STEVE" BRENNAN June 27, 1962 - July 21, 2016 Robert Steve Brennan, 54 of Hemet, Ca, passed away from Metastatic Melanoma, on July 21, 2016. Everyone who knew and loved him called him" Steve". He was born in Riverside, Ca, to Glory Ekberg and Robert W. Brennan. Steve grew up in Mira Loma, Ca, in his younger years. From time to time, he would stay with loving family, Aunt Irene Brennan and Uncle Walter Brennan of Yucaipa, also, with Bob and Nancy Carter of Mira Loma. While living with his mother he attended Rubidoux High School, where he made many friends in the area. In the early 80's he met his first wife Janet Castle. They lived in Colorado, then moved to Oklahoma, where his daughter Leslie Brennan was born in 1982. They were divorced in 1982 and he moved back to Rubidoux to his old stomping grounds, where he lived with his family. On the 4th of July, 1984, he met his wife Cathy Austin Brennan. They married soon after on the 28th of July, 1984. They were married 6 days shy of 32 yrs. He raised 3 beautiful children in the Inland Empire, Robert, Brandy, and James Brennan. He started his truck driving career in 1982, He moved to the Hemet area in 1996, He worked at Rain for Rent for 20+ years. He loved his job so much, and his co-workers were his other family. He traveled all over for the company. He was also a Cert. Crane Operator, which he was most proud of. Here is a quote from him, "I would like to think I made a difference working safe, for others to follow and don't take that shortcut, even when no one is around". He lived his life that way, also. He loved coaching and volunteered at Hemet Youth Baseball and Relay for Life. He also loved camping, fishing, and riding his Harley. But, most of all he loved his children and the kids who called him dad over the years. He is survived by his wife Cathy Brennan; his sons, Robert S. Brennan Jr., and James R. Brennan of Hemet; daughter, Brandy D. Brennan Hertel and husband Luke Hertel of Kansas; niece-daughter Desiree Rico of Hemet; daughter Leslie Brennan of Oklahoma; his mother Glory Holmes of Nebraska; brother Rick Rivera and wife Jeanette Rivera of Florida; brother Jason Baker of Nebraska; sister Kim Brennan of Moreno Valley; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert W. Brennan, grandmother Linnea Norris, brother Daniel F. Rivera, many pets waiting for him at Rainbow bridge. He was a fighter, never gave in. He was loved deeply by his family and will be forever missed. Services will be held at Renewal Christian Fellowship, 14093 Business Center Dr., Moreno Valley, CA 92553 on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2pm.
