ROBERT CLEM McCOLLOCH 11/13/1927-11/30/2016 Known to his family and friends as "Bob", Robert McColloch passed away on November 30,2016. He was born to Elta Ogden and Clem Montgomery McColloch in Santa Ana, California. The family lived in Placentia as Citrus Ranchers. Bob joined the Navy in 1945 after high school graduation. He was a Lieutenant in the Navy as a Pilot and flew F4U-4 and F8F-2 on the USS Boxer in the South Pacific and Korea. Later he was a Reserve Pilot until he retired in 1966. He attended University of California, Berkley and Cal Poly Pomona and graduated with a degree in Engineering. He also received a Master degree in Business from University of California, Riverside. Bob spent most of his career, 50 years, at Bourns in Riverside where he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Through his work at Bourns he traveled throughout the world, sometimes accompanied by his wife, Enid. Bob was an avid large format photographer. Always ready for a trip to take black and white images of extraordinary wonder. He was also a great lover of culture and food. Always curious and carried a small notebook in his breast pocket, where he made notes about language, culture and exciting new food. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, David Butterfield. He leaves his loving wife, Enid, and his children, Luanne, Larry, Lee, Lyle, Greg, Elaine, Rebeka, Von and Robert, his grandchildren Anna, Barret, Danielle, Matthew, Tiffany, Riley, Quinn, Gianna, and great-grandchildren, Emily, Noah and Francesca. A Military Service will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, December 16 at 2:30 PM.
