ROBERT E. YORKE Robert E. Yorke passed on 9-1-2016 at 81 years of age in Santa Monica, California. Survived by daughter Lisa Williams (Lenny); son Jeffrey Yorke (Dawn); granddaughter Aubrianna; grandson Dylan, Marcia Yorke; cousins and friends. Preceded in passing by father David; mother Frances; and brother Shale Yorke. He went to University City High School and graduated class of 1952. Graduated from University of Missouri at Columbia in 1963 with honors and his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and went on to earn his Master's in 1965. He worked as a weapons engineer for the U.S. Navy for 43 years. Retired in 2005. Always an exceptional scholar, his interests included mathematics, ancient Egypt, world and religious history, archaeology, biology, genetics, medical advances and life extension. He went to Egypt to see the pyramids and studied genetic engineering and wanted to see the wooly mammoth walk the Earth again. Our dad loved his children and grandchildren, loved classic hot rod cars, art and music, museums, ballroom dancing, swing dance and tango; trips to the lake and Fiero car club functions with Jeff; beach trips and motorcycle rides to the mountains with Lisa. He lived in Riverside, California for many years. Dad, we are so proud of you; your accomplishments, everything you taught us; and the amazing, brilliant, fun, adventurous, loving man you were. You led a great, illustrious life. You left us a wonderful legacy. We will continue to feel your warm embrace and to move ever forward and upward in your memory. Words can't describe the sorrow we feel in our missing you. We love you Dad, remembering the good times. You are always and forever with us.
