Robert H. Moss Obituary
ROBERT H. MOSS Robert was born in Troy, Tennessee on July 28, 1921 and passed away in Moreno Valley, California on September 15, 2013. Robert is survived by his 4 children Robert D. Moss, Judy Tupper, John E. Moss, Lynda Hatfield; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia; his 1st wife Maryland of 55 years; his second wife Betty of 18 years; and two sisters. Robert served in the army in WWII as an infantry soldier during the D-Day invasion. He was injured in the battle of Julic in Feb. 1945 and was awarded the Purple Heart. Professionally he worked as a carpenter before becoming a Senior Building Inspector for the County of Riverside for over 20 years. He often joked, saying he was the "S.O.B." Inspector from the County". He enjoyed playing music on his guitar, going for trips in his car, and aggravating anyone he could. He was a true character and his family and friends will miss his one-of-a-kind sense of humor. A viewing will be held at Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. The graveside service will follow at Perris Valley Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. A gathering to celebrate Bob Moss's life will be held at Don & Lynda Hatfield's home in Sun City.
