Robert L. Baldwin Obituary
ROBERT L. BALDWIN Robert L. Baldwin passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at home in Hemet, CA. Bob was born in Everett, WA on March 21, 1921. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1942 and was a WWII Veteran. Bob was captured by the Germans during the D-Day invasion and was a POW for over a year. He came to California in 1959 and lived in Palmdale where he worked for Lockheed as a contract management specialist. It was there that he met Sharon Green. They fell in love and were married on June 22, 1974. Bob and Sharon retired in 1983 and settled in Hemet so Bob could play golf anytime he wanted. Bob was a good natured man with a good sense of humor. He had a great memory and took the time to familiarize himself with and care for others. He had many friends. He and Sharon traveled all over the world and went on many cruises during their 40 wonderful years together. Bob is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Susan and Jenny; granddaughter Amy; great-grandchildren Curran, Caden and Mia; his brother Jack, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons Steven and Jeff; brothers William, Ray and Harold; and granddaughter Heather. Military Honors performed by the United States Army will be at 9:15AM, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA followed by service at 11 a.m. at the First Church of Religious Science, 40450 Stetson Ave, Hemet.
