Obituary Condolences

ROLAND W. BERG Age 88, passed away April 18, 2013 in Hemet, CA. Rolly was born Nov. 13, 1924 in Centralia, WA to Rueben & Irene Berg. The family relocated to Longview where Rolly was a 1941 graduate of R.A. Long HS. He was a WWII veteran who served honorably in the U.S Army. Upon returning from Germany, he began a lifelong career with Pacific NW Bell Telephone until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed traveling, golf, swimming and loved to dance. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hemet and a lifetime member of the Elks Club, and an active member of Telephone Pioneers. He was a delegate representing SW Washington in the 1964 Democratic National Convention In addition to his parents, Rolly was preceded in death by his wife Vivian, son Alan and 2 brothers, Howard & Harlan. Survivors include son David of Hemet; daughters Marianne (Bob) Fuller, Pensacola, FL, Penny Schlager, Sacramento; grandson Ross (Michelle) Fuller, Decatur, AL; great granddaughter Reagan and a cousin, Bernadine Furrer, Chehalis, WA. A memorial service will be held Thurs, April 25th, 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church Hemet, CA. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 191 S. Columbia, Hemet, CA 92544.
