RONALD GEORGE PARKER Age 79 of Hemet, California passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born Friday, September 11, 1936 in Indio, California and was the son of the late George and Marguerite (Bond) Parker. Ron joined the Air Force in 1954, after graduating from Hemet High School. He spent 3 years in England as an Air Policeman and was discharged in 1958. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad in Indio from 1958 to 1963. He finished his career with EMWD as a Supervisor of the Locator Dept. (1994). He was married to the love of his life, Gail Parker for over 56 years. Ron loved to fish for bass in Diamond Valley Lake, the Colorado River, and Lake Hodges. He owned a bass tracker and loved to be out on the water. There are many pictures of his trips out on the water with his fellow bass fishermen. He liked to work with his hands and made his own lures. Ron would take all the grandkids out on the boat and teach them the art of bass fishing. He was known to use the pool as a casting ground for the grandkids to practice. His favorite food was tacos. His family describes him as a family man, cared for his children and grandchildren. Ron will be sorely missed by those who knew him and loved him.
