Ronald Paul Marano Obituary
RONALD PAUL MARANO Age 75, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2013, at his home in Canyon Lake with his wife, children and grandchildren at his side. Ron was born in Bell, California on June 21, 1937, into the loving care of his parents Paul and Beatrice Marano. His father was a Fireman in Huntington Park, California and his mother worked as a Medical Assistant. Ron was a retired Los Angeles City Firefighter, he started his career in 1959 in the city of Downey, California, as a Fireman and worked there for three years. In 1962 he joined the Los Angeles City Fire Department. He was promoted to Inspector in 1972 to the Fire Prevention Bureau and worked there until his retirement in 1990 at age 52. Upon retirement he relocated from La Mirada to Menifee and in 1998 he moved to Canyon Lake. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid car enthusiast. In his later years you would often find him with his loyal buddy, his dog Harley. Ron also enjoyed spending time with all of his friends at Cal Oaks Bowling lanes. Ron is survived by his wife, Althea (Tootsie), they were high school sweethearts and were married 55 years; daughter Kimberly Hampton, her husband Rick, and grandchildren Ryan and Kristin; son Ronald Paul Marano II, his wife Andrea; daughter Nancy Losonsky, and her husband Tom; sister Linda Howder and many loving nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held in Sun City at 11:00 AM on March 17, 2013, at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at the Canyon Lake Lodge starting at 1:30 PM.
