Rosina "Rose" Webb Obituary
ROSINA "ROSE" WEBB passed away on July 31, 2016 (her birthday). She was born July 31, 1935 to parents Robert and Irene Alexander in Mattoon, IL. She attended the University of Illinois and joined the Kappa Delta sorority. She moved to California in 1955 where she lived the rest of her life. On November 24, 1972 she married Charlie Webb. Rose had many accomplishments in her life including being named Miss Mattoon, singing on the radio, working for MGM, and earning a spot on the Pro Rodeo national tour just to name a few. She competed as a professional barrel racer for more than 25 years and was ranked as a top 15 competitor in the world standings eight times. In 1985, she was ranked the third best barrel racer in the world, earning her highest ranking. She also was a member at Canyon Crest Country Club and played tennis there for many years. In the mid-80's, Rose and husband Charlie together started a new business, Unique Designs and Collectibles, in Corona where the business is thriving today. Rose loved the country, where she and Charlie ended up building their dream home overlooking beautiful Lake Matthews. Rose is survived by husband Charlie, son Christopher, grandchildren Madeline and Tyler, stepson Brian, wife Julia and grandchildren Ashley and Andrew.
