Roy Waddell In Memoriam
ROY WADDELL 8/21/23 - 8/24/13 IN MEMORY OF OUR DAD It's been one year today since God called you home to heaven but to us it seems like yesterday. We rejoice knowing he is reunited with our mother, his wife, Norma Jean, the love of his life for all of eternity. The special bond they had will never be broken. Two hearts beating as one; there is no greater love. The two greatest gifts God gave us were our parents. Mere words alone could never express how much you were deeply loved and respected as a man and an amazing dad. We will always cherish the time we had together throughout your life. We always felt so privileged and honored to have you as our dad. You made us a better person by your life and the examples you set. You taught us the values of unconditional love, patience, and generosity to others less fortunate. Dad, you instilled the principles of hard work, commitment, kindness, and love to all of your children. Our dad was the best father and role model any child could have and we were blessed to have such a special man in our lives. You were extremely loving to your family and friends and your gentleness of heart, caring personality, and generous ways has enriched all of our lives. You touched the lives of so many people who had the privilege of knowing you, and you will be forever loved by them all. Our dad was a loving husband, and father, devoted to his family. He worked hard his entire life as an electrical contractor. He proudly showed us all of the historic buildings in Riverside he worked on which most of them are still standing today. Our dad was very proud of his military service to his country enlisting in the United Army Feb. 23, 1943 to January 23, 1946. He fought in World War II in Company H, 309th Infantry Regiment 78th Lightening Division, He was awarded numerous medals. He was honorably discharged at the rank of staff sergeant. This is for you, Dad For the father we love, for the one who has helped us through all of our childhood fears and failures. For the man who is a wonderful example of what more men should be. If you never knew how much we respected and admired you, we want the whole world to know it now. You're the best father any child ever had. Dad, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!! We miss you every day and we love you so very much. Till we're reunited again Love always, your kids Kenney, Craige, Wayne, and Pam.
